What is our future? Collaboration will play a key role

What is our future? Collaboration will play a key role.
CREA directors have been talking a lot about the future of our industry.

We all agree that we want a better future for our REALTOR® community and the clients we serve.

So how do we get this future? A key way – maybe the only way that will work – is through collaborative decision-making at the local, provincial and national levels.

I’ve been told by my staff, my colleagues (both in my company and at the BCREA and CREA levels) that one of the things they like most about the way I work is my insistence on collaboration.

Sometimes my frequent questions such “what do you think?” and “what’s your experience been?” can mean meetings take longer. But I’ve found that when everyone shares in the decision-making, not only are they committed to the result – but the result is always more efficient.

How do we thrive in the next decade? We start now by listening to members and brainstorming collaborative models of efficiencies through consolidation and collaboration.
